Welcome to FishTankJudge.com – A blog all about the incredible world of Aquariums, showcasing my continued interest and passion in all things fishy!
The aim of this blog is to share knowledge and experience that we have learnt when setting up an aquarium and building our own underwater world. If you are new then I really hope you find information to help you get started with your own fish tank.
The Mission
The Mission of Fish Tank Judge is incredible simple, to help educate and help those that are interested in looking after fish and setting up their own Aquarium. Our aim is to be able to provide content that is of high quality and will hopefully increase your knowledge, as we are continuing to learn it should also help increase ours as well.
There are many different types of fish and one challenge is knowing which fish can live happily with others, as well as what to feed them and how to generally look after then. At FTJ, we have written in-depth caring guides for a wide variety of fish.
Another aspect of the blog is to help educate you on the different equipment that is available. It can be incredibly confusing when just getting started. You have to think about the actual fish tank size, the temperate and PH of the water, we have not even gotten into the different types of aquarium plants or into Aquascaping.
Don’t worry though, it doesn’t have to be too confusing…
At Fish Tank Judge, you will be able to find articles that will explain everything you need to know about the different types of equipment, helping you make informed choices on what is ideal for your fish tank.
You will also find How To Guides, which have been written to provide in-depth help on specific subjects. These have been written in a step by step format, helping to make it much easier to understand.
The aim of this blog is to be your one stop place for any support and advice on your aquarium. If there is a subject you need help on, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to help!
The Team
Fish Tank Judge was created by Martyn and even though he is the only full time writer, you may find informative articles submitted by other experienced fish keepers.
Charles
One of my earliest memories of my grandparents is sitting in their living room and looking into their fish tank, I could sit there for hours looking at the different fish swimming around. Its surprising how relaxing it can be!
Since then I have always wanted a fish tank and when I got my own place I started looking into it, to be honest though I found it very confusing and this did put me off. 10 years later and I have continued to think about setting up my own aquarium, I often look at all of the different types of fish and equipment when walking through the Garden Centre.
A few years ago, my wife and I moved into our new house with our 12 month old son. I worked at home a lot and therefore decided to turn one of the rooms into an office, it was this that made me start looking into how to set up my own Aquarium. I spent countless hours, days, weeks and probably even months learning.
I now want to share this passion with you and hopefully share what I’ve learnt with you.
